How to prepare a purchase agreement

Divvy will complete the purchase agreement and send it to you for the final edits. As Divvy’s agent, you will be responsible for the contract documents and will send the contract to the listing agent. If this is your first offer, please find your state below for state-specific instructions and send us your relevant contact information to offers@divvyhomes.com.

If your market is in Colorado or Cleveland, Ohio; you will draft the purchase agreement. See general guidance below for states where Divvy operates.

Finally, a few helpful things to keep in mind:

  • You do not represent the customer. The Divvy customer is not a party to this purchase transaction. 
  • You represent Divvy on this single purchase transaction. You do not represent Divvy on any other real estate transaction, including, but not limited to, any lease or option agreement.
  1. All documents require the signature of an authorized Divvy team member, NOT the tenant (i.e. the customer).
  2. Please do not sign anything on Divvy's behalf.
  3. Any seller communications (counteroffers, responses to Divvy requests, etc.) must be communicated in full to a Divvy team member.

* If you also represent the seller on this transaction, you must disclose this to Divvy pursuant to any applicable law, rules or ethical canons.
